Outstanding! Songs with passion and drive. A must have.The cd never gives up. The songs are heartfelt, novel and have a passion not heard in "commercial" releases. From strains of tender love to the anguish of inner stuggle, Hugh involves the listener and leaves him begging for more. Hopefully the live shows will continue and more releases will follow. This one is in my must have collection.

Never Been Before is a very dynamic record. It showcases Hugh's ability to create music that can transcend a variety of genres and yet simultaneously maintain it's integrity throughout the entire listening experience. Emotionally, this is a record that seamlessly guides the listener through the experiences by which a very uplifting and passionate Saturday night can quickly give way to the more subtle and self-reflective feelings of a Sunday morning.
